Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has re-shared a video on Instagram where she says she wishes she was with her fellow dancing pros right now as she undergoes chemotherapy.
The Strictly pro went public earlier this year with her cancer diagnosis and has been viewed as an inspiration by her fans due to her openness and raising awareness about the disease.
Last month, she updated her fans to tell them that doctors had found "another type" of cancer which left her in tears as she shared the news.
This month she has started her chemotherapy journey and has given insight into how the process has affected her.
This week, Amy re-posted a video from 2017 which showed her performing in a dancing competition.
Back in 2017, she captioned the post: "#tbt to the ultimate cup challenge last year. #chachacha #dancers #latin #strictly #throwbackthursday."
After re-posting it in recent days she highlighted her ambition for getting back onto the dancefloor and, in particular, the glamour of hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.
Alongside the re-post, she wrote: "Oh how I can't wait to be back on the dance floor performing again! Most night I dream about dancing atm."
This came on the same day she underwent a second round of chemotherapy.
Amy also shared with fans in another update what she wore for the procedure as she said the most important thing for her was to be comfortable.
She said: "Chemo day number two, and I have to share this. I’ve been sent this and it’s so comfy, but it’ll help others, which is why I want to share it. I’ve got my trousers on already. Look, breast cancer ribbon here, but for those with ports like myself, you can just unzip and they can access your port because you get really cold with the cold cap.
"Or if you’ve got a port on your chest, there’s a zip. But look how beautiful it is and it’s got the breast cancer ribbon. So thank you so, so much!
"Gonna feel pretty in pink at least."
With a picture of her after the first round of chemotherapy treatment, Amy hinted that she was looking forward to being back on the dancefloor again as she was laying with an ice-cap on.
She said: "Chemo 1 done! I looked worse going in than coming out actually. I didn’t sleep, I got there and I just burst into tears.
"Luckily my pink sister made sure I walked in and helped me through it and distracted from the brain freeze of the cold cap. (Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be!).
"Thank you @jenny.markey not sure what I would do without you! Lucky to have you! Red Devil went in, had another cry but I’ve left knowing chemo 1 done and not as bad as I thought.
"This is due to the incredible team and nurses! Thank you NHS! Hopefully not too many side affects. One step closer to being back on the dance floor. (that’s what’s hurting the most right now, I’d do anything to be there with my fellow strictly pros right now). But for now chemo 1 (ticked)."
