World No. 6 Kevin Anderson, the Wimbledon finalist, has confirmed his presence in the second edition of the Tata Open Maharashtra, to be played at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune in January 2019.
The 32-year old Anderson recently became the first South African in more than 20 years to qualify for the season-ending ATP Tour Finals, thanks to his fifth ATP title in Vienna.
Tournament director Prashant Sutar confirmed Anderson’s participation in the event for the second year in succession.
After starting his 2018 campaign in Pune along with the likes of Marin Cilic and Simon Gilles, Anderson peaked to his career-high ranking of No. 5 in July.
