Report on alcohol level

Osmania General Hospital (OGH) has sent the police administration report on a dispute involving an individual’s blood alcohol level.

A 20-year-old man lodged a complaint with the Sultan Bazar Police claiming a breath-analyser test conducted on him last month incorrectly showed he had consumed alcohol. He was later sent to OGH for an examination. After conducting a physical examination, a doctor at OGH said the man was not under influence of alcohol. When the incident was reported, the police administration wrote to OGH demanding an explanation for the conclusions made by the doctor as no blood samples were drawn for testing.

In report sent to the police on Tuesday, sources said the doctor maintained that only physical examination was done which did not reveal any sign of intoxication.
