Mo Salah’s loss of form can be traced back to a single incident, according to Liverpool fans.
Specifically, they say, it can be put down to the actions of one man – Sergio Ramos.
Salah, 26, suffered a dislocated shoulder in a clash with the Real Madrid captain during the Champions League final in May.
He returned just in time to play in the World Cup for Egypt in June, but wasn’t at his best in Russia.
Last campaign, he scored 32 goals in the Premier League alone, winning the Golden Boot and Player of the Season. He also laid on 10 assists for his teammates.
This term, he’s managed just three goals in eight appearances, registering one assist. Generally, he hasn’t looked quite as brilliant as he did last season.
He failed to find the net as Liverpool drew 0-0 with Manchester City on Sunday, blazing his best chance high and wide.
And fans are blaming Spaniard Ramos for ‘killing his confidence’.
