Cheryl has slammed rumours she’s undergone cosmetic surgery after she was spotted looking dramatically different late last year.
The singer, 35, was forced to defend herself on Twitter after the pictures emerged in November and she put her new look down to a "pillow crease" on her skin.
She’s now opened up about the surgery claims and insisted fans were just not used to seeing her looking pale and tired without any make-up on.
During a chat with the Mail Online , she said: "Do you think I look different?’
"The truth was, I had one hour’s sleep that night, which is never good.
"I stayed up because the single and video dropped at the same time and I was reading the fan reaction on Twitter .
"It went a bit far and all of a sudden, it was 3am."
Cheryl had gotten up early for an appearance on Capital Radio in London and the pictures showed her looking remarkably fresh-faced.
The former Girls Aloud star added of her new look: "I went to bed and got up one hour later.
"So I put on a wig – the short bob was a wig from the music video.
"They put my hair back in a plait and then put on the wig.
"I was so pale and on the way out of the door, the make-up artist was saying to me, ‘You’ve got a big pillow crease in your face that I can’t get rid of"’.
"No one had seen the bob, but this is how I’ve always looked."
